The prosecutor's office became interested in the mass cancellation of Aeroflot flights
The supervisory authority decided to find out what caused the cancellation of flights and whether the rights of passengers were respected. Previously, the airline announced the cancellation of more than 70 flights due to weather conditions.
Aeroflot’s plans to cancel on February 13 due to adverse weather conditions about a hundred flights that were supposed to fly out or arrive at Sheremetyevo interested the Moscow interregional transport prosecutor's office.
The Office announced that it had started a check in connection with the relevant statements of the air carrier in order to monitor compliance with the rights of passengers. The supervisory authority intends to establish the reasons for delays and cancellation of flights, and also to find out whether the rights of passengers were respected and whether the corresponding services were provided to them when waiting for flights.
In the event of violations, prosecutorial measures will be taken, the agency promised.
